We offer many services, FREE of charge!

 Supportive Counseling: we listen to YOU and provide information and assist survivors in exploring their options and developing a personalized plan of action.
  
 Support Groups: for survivors to help themselves and others with the healing process and develop a support system
   
 Community Education:  presentations to county and private agencies regarding the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault.

 Personal Protection Order (PPO): assistance in obtaining and enforcing. 

 Accompaniment to court proceedings:  attending court hearings and other proceedings, communicating with law enforcement officers and the prosecuting attorney’s office on behalf of survivors and helping survivors to understand the court process.

Emergency Shelter: Assistance with securing emergency shelter and transportation there if needed.  We do not have a DV shelter in Van Buren County, but we will help you get to one so that you are safe and can rest.

 Transportation: to court, mental health, and other relevant appointments.

Community Referrals: to other agencies who can help survivors meet their needs, such as WIC, DHS, SMCAA, Housing complexes.

Sexual Assault Response Team: we have advocates that will respond to the hospital with you and stay by your side while having to get tested for an assault.  After, our sexual assault advocate will follow up and help you through the criminal justice process.  We also have a free sexual assault therapist here 2 days a week.

Domestic Violence Response Team: we have advocates that will respond to your home after an assault and stay by your side while having to get interviewed or just to decompress after.  After, our advocate will follow up and help you through the criminal justice process.  We also have a free domestic violence therapist here 2 days a month.

Wave Programs: for a cost, Moral Reconation Therapy, Batterer's Intervention, and Anger Management Classes.
