Student LIFT Groups
This is an opportunity to have small group talks, once a week, or once a month, during or after school, with a specific population of students. Perhaps your school could benefit from a group that helps kids who have served ISS or OSS for behaviors that are aggressive, disrespectful to person's or property, harassment, or girl aggressions. Curriculum used is researched based.
Other groups can be facilitated for students who just need some follow-up from a previous presentation given by our educator, Amy Foster, on topics related to healthy relationships, dating violence, or bullying.
LIFT Project brings a student out of their circumstances and gives them a look into their futures to see what they can possess or miss out on depending on the decisions they make. Its mission is to empower students by developing a set of values and exploring probable consequences that will impact their future. We believe this understanding begins as soon as they embrace the idea that they capable and responsible to make good decisions that will carve a path to a healthy and promising future.
L – Learn to focus on your strengths.
Discover your intrinsic motives and values.
I – Imagine how it feels to be in someone else’s shoes.
Explore empathy and tolerance of others.
F – Feel the impact of your decisions.
Explore actions and consequences and then evaluate the effects.
T – Take control of your future by making healthy choices now.
What are you hoping for in your future?
